Born in Buenos Aires, raised in the 1970s on the vast plains of the Argentine Pampas, Lucia Learned to use her father´s camera as a child.

Her early years were spent exploring those harsh lands of immeasurable skies, hoping to find some wonder hidden in some unsuspected corner.

Sometimes, between clumps of desert grass and blazing suns, a small pool surrounded by butterflies would appear, a beetle crossing the path with difficulty, a creeping verbena as red as blood.

-´My senses and my imagination were forged by penetrating that forgotten piece of the planet. Today, with my camera always on my shoulder, I feel that search continues. ´ -

Bio

After finishing high school, Lucia traveled to Canada, to take courses on Philosophy, Film,

and English at the University of Western Ontario. She then returned to Buenos Aires to

study filmmaking at the Universidad del Cine. There, she immersed herself in the study of

cinematography, lighting, optics, and camera work and found the inspiration for her first

steps as a director, creating two fiction short films and two documentaries.

In the years that followed, Lucía created her own studio and production center, where she

began her professional career as a photographer and director working across

commissioned, editorial, and personal artistic projects.

Throughout this process, she developed a distinctive expressive and unique approach to

visual storytelling leading to collaborations with major global brands. Her work has been

recognized at leading advertising festivals across Europe and the Americas, earning awards

at Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, Lápiz, and FIAP, among others.

Recently, after years of sustained travel and professional work, Lucia turned inward to her

personal archive, editing and curating material into a retrospective body of personal work.

Lucia manages her own photographic exhibition space, where her photographic practice

intersects with her interest in gardening and botanical research. She is regularly invited to

speak at Conferences and Art institutions.
